Editorial standards
Restaurant Stockholm’s guides help people make better decisions about where to eat in Stockholm. Selection combines editorial research, current restaurant information and several quality and relevance signals. This page explains the standards behind our guides.
The subject of a guide shapes the selection. Depending on its purpose, we may consider:
No single score, award, review platform or popularity measure automatically determines inclusion. A guide is an editorial selection, not a complete directory.
Factual details should preferably be checked against first-party sources: official restaurant websites, current menus, official booking information and official social channels where appropriate.
Additional reputable sources may provide context. When information conflicts or cannot be confirmed, we should qualify the detail or leave it out rather than present an unsupported claim as fact.
Restaurant Stockholm does not claim that every featured restaurant has been personally visited. A researched editorial recommendation is different from a firsthand account.
We must not say or imply that a dish was tasted, a meal tested or a restaurant personally visited unless that actually happened. Any firsthand experience included should be clearly distinguished from information drawn from research. We do not invent meals, anonymous visits, reviewers or personal impressions.
Restaurants frequently change menus, prices, opening hours, booking policies, locations and concepts. Dates and price examples describe the information available for that version of a guide; they are not a permanent guarantee.
Before visiting or booking, check the restaurant’s official website for current details. Confirm dietary requirements and other time-sensitive arrangements directly with the restaurant.
Labels such as “Best for date night”, “Best traditional” and “Best value” are editorial aids intended to help readers choose. They describe a useful fit for a particular purpose, not a universal or objective verdict.
Unless a guide explicitly explains a numerical ranking, list order does not mean restaurant #1 is objectively better than restaurant #2. Numbering may simply make the guide easier to navigate.
Michelin stars, Bib Gourmand distinctions and similar awards belong to the awarding organisation. References should identify the distinction accurately, attribute it to that organisation and be checked against current official information.
Restaurant Stockholm does not award Michelin status. A mention or listing should never be presented as a distinction it does not carry. Readers can consult the official Michelin Guide for its explanation of its distinctions.
Restaurant Stockholm may carry advertising, partnerships or sponsored placements. Any commercial relationship should be clearly identified where readers encounter the relevant content.
Payment or a partnership should not automatically determine inclusion in independent editorial guides. Sponsored material must be distinguishable from independent selection. This disclosure standard does not imply that the site currently has advertisers or commercial partners.
Readers and restaurants are welcome to report closures, changed addresses, incorrect menus or prices, ownership or concept changes, and other factual errors. Please include the guide’s link, the detail to correct and a reliable source or current information where possible.
